I love sports both for the technical aspect, and for the surpassing oneself aspect. Sport is part of my daily life. Due to a few injuries, I was forced to discover new sports, such as swimming and cross country skiing, which then created new challenges. Competitive cross country skiing, which is a new discovery to me, is very demanding technically and it is hard to find the right equipment. It is always a fun task to try to figure out which wax to use for my skis depending on the outdoor conditions. Sometimes I find the right wax and sometimes I don’t, but it’s part of the sport.
The outdoor is also very important to me. I practice it with my family and with my friends. Snowshoeing, trecking, kayaking, skiing, are some of many activities we do during the weekends. Sports make you travel, which is another aspect that I love about it.
Between my family and teacher physics in high school, there’s running and that is truly vivifying. My main goals this year are mainly related to cross country skiing. I want to attend the Canadian Championships, then the Master World Cup (Kloster, Switzerland), the Skimarathon (Engadin, Switzerland), and at last, the Mont Valin Tour (Saguenay, Quebec). To achieve these goals, I will be part of the masters circuit and compete and many other competitions which will help me prepare. Let’s go train!!
